TeamViewer on Slack extends the communication capabilities of Slack by enabling colleagues to connect with each other with remote device access and through augmented reality connections beyond traditional chat, VoIP and video calls. This offers a powerful advantage when you “just need to see” what the problem is and trying to verbalize the issue is inefficient. AR connections especially are a must-have in cases where physical tasks are needed and you can ‘virtually’ point and draw in the user’s field of view to demonstrate in detail what to do.To use the app a licensed TeamViewer account is needed which can be created on login.teamviewer.com. Trials are available to test the app.

We store personally identifiable information of the user such as Slack User ID and Slack Team ID as part of the configuration data necessary to deliver our service to the user. If a user uninstalls the application, we remove all their associated data after 90 days.

To fulfil the requirements of Art. 15-21 GDPR, TeamViewer determined the department Customer Support to manage all incoming Data Subject Requests (DSR). TeamViewer mainly receives Data Subject Requests via web form or email at privacy@teamviewer.com.
Requests via letter, fax, and phone are less common. In addition, TeamViewer has an established process for handling DSR by employees, which is overseen by the HR department.
